Carmafil Introduces Guidewire Bowl to Aid Efficiency of Endovascular Procedures

Carmafil guidewire bowlApril 15, 2021—Carmafil, LLC announced the launch of a guidewire bowl that helps to improve efficiency during endovascular procedures.

Designed by a practicing neurointerventionalist and an engineer, the Carmafil guidewire bowl is intended to solve the problem of having a tangle of wires and catheters at the bottom of a saline-filled bowl. The new bowl has a staircase design along the inside wall which segregates the wires to make it easier to retrieve them. The bowl holds up to four wires or catheters.

Advantages of the bowl include: the wires or catheters can easily be retrieved with one hand; it reduces potential contamination during retrieval; and the light blue color facilitates visualization of the wires in dim lighting.
