Cydar Medical Appoints Chief Commercial Officer

October 10, 2022—Cydar Medical Ltd, a cloud-based surgical software company, announced that Alastair Harvey has been appointed to the newly created position of Chief Commercial Officer, reporting to Chief Executive Officer Paul Mussenden.

Cydar Medical is headquartered in Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Mr. Harvey will be responsible for the development and execution of the company’s overall commercial strategy, covering product sales and marketing, customer onboarding, as well as the company’s analytics and platform strategies. Additionally, he will be responsible for further developing the company’s existing commercial partnerships, as well as securing new ones to further expand Cydar Medical’s integrated offering of intelligent healthcare solutions.

Mr. Harvey has held several commercial leadership roles, including Chief Commercial Officer for Cortexica AI Vision Systems, a computer vision and machine learning company that was sold to Zebra Technologies. He has also worked for Sia Partners; Advertima.com; and most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer at Action.ai.

According to the company, its Cydar EV Maps product for endovascular surgery creates a patient-specific three-dimensional map of soft tissue, using computer vision and machine learning technology to enhance surgical visualization and decision-making during surgery. This cloud-based software system is designed to provide an integrated solution for the planning, navigation, and review of surgical procedures. In July 2022, the company announced the beginning of the ARIA randomized controlled trial to assess the clinical, technical, and cost-effectiveness of the Cydar EV Maps in comparison to standard treatment to guide endovascular aneurysm repair.
