Icometrix and Aidoc Partner to Provide Suite of AI Solutions to Triage Stroke Patients
June 22, 2021—Icometrix, a company focused on artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for imaging in neurological conditions, announced a partnership with Aidoc, a provider of enterprise AI solutions for medical imaging.
According to the announcement, the partnership will provide clinicians with a comprehensive suite of AI solutions for triaging stroke patients. The suite aims to rapidly triage patients with suspected or incidental stroke while alerting care teams thereby facilitating timely communication and access to lifesaving treatment.
The suite combines the Icometrix Icobrain—which assesses the extent of damage by quantifying the volume of the core and perfusion lesion on CT-perfusion images—with Aidoc’s FDA-cleared AI stroke solution, which provides real-time notification of patients with suspected large vessel occlusion and intracranial hemorrhage. Future options will include Icometrix’s multiple sclerosis and traumatic brain injury solutions, as well as Aidoc’s c-spine and brain aneurysm algorithms, noted the company.
