Merit Medical Launches Prelude Roadster Guide Sheath in United States
September 12, 2022—Merit Medical Systems, Inc. announced the commercial release of the Prelude Roadster guide sheath in the United States.

According to the company, the Prelude Roadster device is indicated for use in various procedures, including delivering devices used to diagnose and treat patients with peripheral artery disease. It is designed for deliverability, visibility, and resilience in tortuous peripheral vasculature anatomies.
“Patients with peripheral vascular disease often have complex vessel anatomies that make treatment challenging,” commented Sandeep Nathan, MD, in Merit Medical’s press release. “The Roadster sheath is designed to help physicians deliver the diagnostic and therapeutic devices needed to achieve successful outcomes.” Dr. Nathan is an interventional cardiologist and director of the Coronary Care Unit at the University of Chicago Medicine in Chicago, Illinois.
The Prelude Roadster is part of the Merit Vascular-Peripheral Access portfolio, which includes introducers, access kits, vessel dilators, and accessories, advised the company.
