ProTron Launches Stethotron Cerebral Stethoscope
November 9, 2011—ProTron Technologies (Alpine, NJ) announced the launch of the Stethotron cerebral stethoscope for the early detection of vascular aneurysms. The company stated that the Stethotron allows for quick, noninvasive detection of atherosclerotic changes that lead to cerebral aneurysms before acute symptoms appear. The device's filtration allows physician to detect the audible, vascular turbulence at 250 to 1000 Hz that reveals pathology. The Stethotron also avoids having to listen to undesirable wavelengths that occur with ultrasound.
