Radiation Protection Device Developer Texray Appoints Dr. Ziv Haskal to Advisory Board

September 18, 2026—Texray AB announced that interventional radiologist Ziv J. Haskal, MD, has joined the company’s clinical and scientific advisory board. Texray, a developer of radiation protection textile, is based in Sweden with subsidiaries in the United States.

According to the company, Dr. Haskal was among the first to describe an association between occupational radiation exposure and cataracts in endovascular specialists.

The company noted that Dr. Haskal was a two-term Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Additionally, he has been awarded numerous gold medals, societal awards, and honorary fellowships, and given many named lectures (> 700 worldwide).

Texray stated that its technology platform is used in its personal protective equipment—the HeadPeace and the MindPeace devices—as well as in its MasterPeace, which is recognized as an enhanced radiation protective device (ERPD) in the multisociety “Expert Consensus Statement on Enhanced Radiation Protection.”

The appointment of Dr. Haskal comes as Texray formalizes its clinical and scientific network in response to growing demand for ERPDs, stated the company. Texray also recently announced the appointment of interventional cardiologist Morton J. Kern, MD, to its clinical and scientific advisory board.
